Upgrading CADTALK

Upgrading to latest version

CADTALK is released on a rolling basis, which means that our users get the latest features and bug fixes without having to wait.

CADTALK uses a consolidated installer whose wizard guides the user through the installation or upgrade.  The process is quite easy and CADTALK can be ready to use in a matter of minutes.  After the initial installation, a user can upgrade his/her installation via add/remove programs.  Before upgrading, we recommend that users always have a backup of their settings which the user can export via the CADTALK interface.

Consolidated installer upgrade.

  • Click Windows Start button, and type Add or Remove Programs
  • Find 'CADTALK' in the list (sometimes it takes a few moments to display full list)
  • Select Modify (or 'Change' button at top, depending on version of Windows)
  • The CADTalk installer will open and check for updates.

Make sure that ONLY the ERP you need and addins you will be using are selected before pressing next.

Make sure the proper CADTALK host is selected and press next.

Press "Accept and Install" to complete the updating process.
